Caring is what we do. Find out what we care about.

Our hospital is a welcoming, child-friendly place.

The walls have brightly-coloured murals, painted by local artists.

The staff often wear clown's hats to put children and their carers at ease.

Whisper's staff often drive long distances to take patients to emergency referrals or to maintain stocks of blood for transfusions when local supplies run low. A Ugandan newspaper article describes one example of this.

We provide high-quality continuing professional development training for our staff.

Our staff receive free meals during their working day.

Our staff receive free medical care for themselves and their families (some limits apply). They are covered by the Ugandan public pension scheme (NSSF), an investment fund run by the Ugandan government.

Whisper regularly runs free scans at a local hospital using a portable ultrasound scanner, to detect potential problems before they happen.

Whisper's staff regularly collect garbage in the streets of Jinja; plastic waste is a particular problem.

We've installed garbage cans in the street and planted street trees.
